The Tap is an idea boutique, a
stick figure comic strip, a treasure trove of stories. It’s a space for me to translate all my experiences and ideas into words and pictures. My comics aim to not just depict the little things that make life so wonderful, such as that perfect cup of chai, but also touch upon themes such as mental health, body positivity, inclusion and women empowerment.

Hi, I’m looking for an inventive gift for my husband on father’s day. He’s 51 and we have a 14 months old daughter and another baby on the way in early Dec. He’s just taken up guitar. Any suggestions? Also please give me an indication of costs. It can be a framed comic, or a print on a t-shirt or something else. Thanks

Hi Michele, Could you mail me details at ramyasriram1@gmail.com please? When do you need this by?
Ramya, I just scrolled through your post on the return to India and I couldn’t help holding my tears back! So so so so well expressed and it seems like you have taken the words out of my mouth because I feel all those pointers you have mentioned in terms of why you love our country. I am in New Zealand on a work visa and I intend to return to India too the next year because chaos for me is beautiful and it depends on person to person what they define as beautiful. For me, it’s the imperfections that make me feel alive. I loved your work and I will share this with all those whom I could not explain why is my intended return so purposeful. Thanks! Love, Sneha
Thanks so much Sneha, I’m so glad you could relate! Lots of good warm wishes, Ramya

Hi Ramya,
I happened to read through your post on ‘what you miss about India’. I am struggling myself with the thoughts on whether to go back to India or continue abroad and findings the so called WHY’s !!. I could relate to many of the things that you stated. That was a good read. Thanks.
Also, surfed through some of your works and they are very impressive. Keep up the good work. All the best!
Regards,
Sunny
Thank you so much, Sunny! I’m glad you could relate. Good luck with your journey. Everything will work out fine, whatever you decide 🙂 Best wishes, Ramya
Ramya I chanced upon your site and kept surfing through it. You have a happy place here- one that I would like to visit often. I liked your slice of life comic stories and Your ‘Amma says’ is spot on so what if I am an ‘Amma’ myself. I am sure I will enjoy you travel blogs. Keep up the good work. It is such a joy to see the various talents and expression from youngsters like you.
Cheers- Aravinda
