Hello! 🙂

I am a comics creator, writer, music enthusiast and tree-appreciator. I grew up in Hyderabad, India. I’ve lived and worked in the UK for the last ten years, long enough to have eaten more than my lifetime’s share of digestive biscuits! 
 
I started drawing comics 15 years ago as a bit of a joke, but it has grown into something that’s an integral part of my daily life. I have a compulsive need to draw or write, as a way of processing the world around me. 
 
My comics are “all over the place”, and I love it being that way. I’ve created stories about everything from being in (and out of) relationships, finding self-reliance, exploring new places, and rediscovering home. Most of my work is about finding purpose, hope, meaning and freedom. Subjects close to my heart include nature & wildlife, mental health, body positivity, inclusion and women empowerment. 
 
I’ve worked on a variety of commissions for individuals, small businesses, established organizations and nonprofits. In my day job, I work as a marketer and content strategist: I’m always happy to help create impactful and beautiful marketing campaigns. Empathy is at the heart of everything I do.

    I came through your art through facebook, liked them, pretty impressive. I run a company called MyWash in Banglore. Just wanted to check, if you would be interested to join our design team.

    Hi, I’m looking for an inventive gift for my husband on father’s day. He’s 51 and we have a 14 months old daughter and another baby on the way in early Dec. He’s just taken up guitar. Any suggestions? Also please give me an indication of costs. It can be a framed comic, or a print on a t-shirt or something else. Thanks

    Ramya, I just scrolled through your post on the return to India and I couldn’t help holding my tears back! So so so so well expressed and it seems like you have taken the words out of my mouth because I feel all those pointers you have mentioned in terms of why you love our country. I am in New Zealand on a work visa and I intend to return to India too the next year because chaos for me is beautiful and it depends on person to person what they define as beautiful. For me, it’s the imperfections that make me feel alive. I loved your work and I will share this with all those whom I could not explain why is my intended return so purposeful. Thanks! Love, Sneha

    I happened to read through your post on ‘what you miss about India’. I am struggling myself with the thoughts on whether to go back to India or continue abroad and findings the so called WHY’s !!. I could relate to many of the things that you stated. That was a good read. Thanks.

    Ramya I chanced upon your site and kept surfing through it. You have a happy place here- one that I would like to visit often. I liked your slice of life comic stories and Your ‘Amma says’ is spot on so what if I am an ‘Amma’ myself. I am sure I will enjoy you travel blogs. Keep up the good work.
